DESCRIPTION:So what is really going on at the Department of Labor and more specifically\, at the OFCCP???\nWe are privileged during our September meeting to welcome Lance Gibbons\, a Shareholder with Littler Mendelson Law Firm. Lance focuses his practice on advising clients on the specific workplace implications of federal\, state\, and local labor and employment laws\, with a particular emphasis on the nondiscrimination and affirmative action requirements enforced by the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). Lance reviews every client affirmative action plan to ensure regulatory compliance\, accuracy\, and strategy\, anticipating the larger legal implications of the information contained in the data analyses. \nLance has more than 15 years of experience counseling and representing employers on matters before the OFCCP\, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)\, and other federal\, state\, and local workplace regulatory and enforcement agencies. Following the recent ILG National Conference\, Lance will give us the full update on what is really going on at the OFCCP and what we might all expect with the training the Compliance Officers are supposed to receive\, the audits they will be doing\, the recent leadership changes at the DOL and at the OFCCP and just what Government contractors will be up against in the coming months. \nDon’t miss out on the latest and greatest information that will help all of you in your work with the OFCCP.
