SUMMARY:May 2022 Live & In-Person Indiana ILG Meeting
DESCRIPTION:We are so excited to invite all of you to our first live & in-person Indiana ILG meeting in over two years! We thought we would kick off our in-person meetings with a special treat for everyone and invited EEOC Commissioner Keith Sonderling to join us and discuss some of the latest questions many of us have about the collaboration between the OFCCP and the EEOC\, the upcoming EEO-1 Component 2 reporting and then his favorite topic\, Artificial Intelligence. \nUnfortunately\, after Keith agreed last month to join us in-person this Friday\, I was urgently called last Friday and learned that Keith’s father has to have open heart surgery next Wednesday and will have to be in Boston during that time. \nWe have made the decision to go ahead and hold our meeting and instead use this as an opportunity to network\, get to know each other\, and most importantly\, discuss among ourselves what is going on with these agencies. There are a lot of initiatives we are all reading about and many of you are experiencing some challenging audits\, so we thought a more open-ended meeting might be just the ticket! \nThis is also the last meeting with your current board members\, and since I will be stepping down after almost 8 years as Vice Chair and then Chair\, I certainly hope you will be able to join us as I turn the reins over to our newly elected board members. \nKeith has promised to attend during our next meeting and that will be after the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking is most likely in place for the EEO-1 Component 2 Pay Data reporting notice and comment.  He is very much looking forward to meeting all of you at that time and sends his sincere apologies for not being able to join us this Friday. I told him family comes first and we would rally and do something different and wish his father well! \nI certainly hope you will still plan on coming to our meeting and will also come prepared to join in the discussions that arise! \nMeeting Agenda \n\n\n\n9:00 am to 9:10 am   \nWelcome & ILG Business\n\n\n9:10 am to 9:35 am\nEqual Employment Opportunity Commission\, Brien Shoemaker\, Outreach & Education Coordinator\, Indy District Office\n\n\n9:35 am to 10:00 am\nOffice of Federal Contract Compliance Programs\, David Smith\, OFCCP Indianapolis District Director\n\n\n10:00 am to 11:00 am\n\nOpen Discussion on many of the following topics: \n\nAAP Verification – will there be an extended deadline?\n\nWhy all your locations weren’t loaded into the portal by the OFCCP\n\n\nEEO-1 Component 2 Pay Data Reporting – NPRM is coming\nOFCCP Audit Requests – noticing anything different or questioning why they are asking?\n\n“Proof of outreach based on national origin and religion?”\n“Proof of job postings as ‘required’ by the Mandatory Job Listing regulations”\n102-question Comp questionnaire\n\n\nAny other topics you want to discuss\n\n\n\n\n11:00 am to 11:15 am\nBoard Election Results & Intro of New Officers\, Martha Heady Messman\, Chair of Indiana ILG Election Committee\n\n\n\n
