SUMMARY:November 2021 Virtual Indiana ILG Meeting
DESCRIPTION:As I said during our last meeting\, I had hoped we could hold our November meeting in person. However\, your ILG Board believes this is still a bit early to try but will definitely hope for in person meetings moving forward. That being said\, we invite you to once again join us via Zoom. \nAs before\, a Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants prior to the meeting.\nWith our meeting being held the day after Veterans’ Day\, we will be focusing on both veterans and individuals with disabilities. We are pleased to have Dennis Wimer join us! Dennis serves Indiana Veterans as the Director of the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs. After graduating from Purdue University\, Dennis started his career in the United States Air Force as a C-141B Starlifter Navigator. Dennis served in the Air Force for nine years. \nCarmen Navarro and Margaret Kraak from the OFCCP have been invited\, and David Smith will definitely participate. Pat Wise from the EEOC will attend in Brien Shoemaker’s place and will most likely be joining us and will share even more of what is going on at the EEOC! \nWe hope you will be able to join us on Friday\, November 12th. A Zoom link will be sent out the day prior to the meeting. This will be a very informative meeting especially for those of you who are still trying to increase your utilization of individuals with disabilities along with protected veterans!
